Colby - Mar. 18, 1954

Mrs. Hugo Frome returned from the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital.

Mrs. Minnie Baumgart of Unity is staying with her son, Ted, in Colby, Wis.

Frank Hunt attended a Standard Oil meeting at Eau Claire Wednesday.

Mrs. G. L. Schwenn of Madison spent the week-end at the H. J. Welsch residence.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Karye and daughter, and Arvid Gummerson visited at the G. Nystrom home Sunday.

Miss Veda Lueloff of Madison spent the week-end with her mother, Mrs. Theo. Lueloff, and sister, Miss Gertrude Lueloff, R.N.

Mr. and Mrs. G. Nystrom were in Chicago last week buying merchandise for Emilie’s Dress Shop. They also visited their daughter and family.

A son, Steven Carl, was born to Mr. and Mrs. Donald C. Borchert of La Crosse. Donald is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl H. Borchert of Colby, Wis.

W. H. Runzheimer spent Tuesday and Wednesday in St. Paul where he attended the annual meeting of the Mutual Service Insurance Company.

Mrs. Rose Nelson and son, Larry, and Mr. and Mrs. Jake Hauser and son, Jimmy, attended the golden wedding celebration of the former’s and Jake’s brother-in-law and sister at Broadhead last week Wednesday.

Earl Mulkins, Floyd Sossaman and Claude Sossaman, all of Milwaukee, spent the week-end in Colby, the former with his mother-in-law, Mrs. Arma Schultz, and Floyd and Claude with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Sossaman.

Mr. and Mrs. Ted Ketterl and daughter, Carol Lou, spent the week-end at Butternut where they attended funeral services for the former’s father. Ted is a teacher in Marshfield High School and Mrs. Ketterl is a Colby Graded School teacher.
