Spencer Couple Observe 40th Wedding Anniversary
Spencer--Mr. and Mrs. William Plath, both members of families who were among the first settlers in the Spencer community, were honored guests at a celebration held Saturday at the home of their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Seigert Krasselt, the occasion marking their 40th wedding anniversary, which occurred Friday.
Dinner was served at noon to the immediate family. All their children were present. They included three daughters, Mrs. Helen Fisher, Mrs. Eva Krasselt, and Mrs. Arlene Youmans, two sons, Sherwood Plath and William Plath, Jr., and eight grandchildren. Cakes decorated with roses and lettering, adorned each end of the table.
In the evening relatives and friends gathered at the same home where an informal evening was spent. Refreshments were served later in the evening. Mr. and Mrs. Plath were presented with gifts, cards, and a purse of money.
Among those guests in attendance were Mr. and Mrs. Harold Fisher and son Gary, and Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Hoops, all of Fond du Lac; Mr. and Mrs. Merton Youmans and daughters, Joan and Beverly, and Mrs. Reckard, Janesville; Mr and Mrs. Sherwood Plath and sons, Michael, Stanley and Clifford, Oshkosh; William Plath, Jr. and Miss Bonnie Oelrich, Stevens Point; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Marten, Fremont; Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Prein, Riplinger; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Boyer and Mr. and Mrs. Herman Molle, Unity; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Vanderhoof, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Voelker and daughters, Iris and Barbara, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Bymers and son Roger, Mr. and Mrs. Carrol Voelker and son, Richard, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Huber, Mr. and Mrs. John Wry, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hoops, Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Hoops, Mr. and Mrs. Lowell McIlhatten, Mr. and Mrs. John Holsschuh, Mr. and Mrs. John Korntved, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Huber, Mrs. Tillie Manthe, and Mrs. Anna Frederick, all of Spencer, Wis.
