Hauschildt, Hans (26 Feb. 1882 - 28 Dec. 1930)

Hans Hanschildt was the victim of an accident which occurred early Sunday morning. He resided about two miles west of Withee. His body was found lying on highway 29, a few rods east of his home. His death taking place after he had been struck by a hit and run driver of an automobile.

The body was removed to Griebnow’s undertaking parlors where an inquest was held Tuesday.

Mr. Hauschildt and family had attended a Christmas party at Withee, Mrs. Hanschildt and children returning home a short time earlier, and when he finished playing cards about 2:30 he proceeded home.

Mr. Beason of Gilman, who was passing by discovered the body.

Mr. Hanschildt was 48 years of age. He leaves his wife, two daughters and one son to mourn.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at two o’clock from the Danish church, Rev. Michaelsen officiating, with interment made in the Danish cemetery.
