Gunia, Edward John (11 Oct. 1908 - 19 Sept. 1998)

Spencer, Wis. - Edward John Gunia, 89, Spencer, Wisconsin, died Sept. 19, 1998 at Colonial Center.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spencer, Wis. Burial will be in West Spencer Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Community Funeral Home and again from 10 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the church.

He was born Oct. 11, 1908, in Cedeaux, Saskatchewan, Canada. He retired in 1973 after working 50 years for the Soo Line Railroad.

Surviving are his wife, Estellia Gunia; daughter, Ruth Berghammer of Arpin; son, Clarence Gunia of Vesper; stepdaughter Diane (Gerald) Rinehart of Loyal; stepson, Allen (Nancy) Prehn of Wausau; three grandchildren, six stepgrandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, 10 step great-grandchildren; four sisters, Anna Fellinger of Regina Saskatchewan, Canada, Rose Kendra and Stephania Figura, both of Las Vegas, Nev., Mary Skaleski of Longwood; and his half-sister, Tillie Zdrojkowski of Thorp.
