Cramer, Chesley L. (21 Feb. 1891 - 19 June 1954)

Funeral services for Chesley L. Cramer of Venice, Calif., a former resident of Riverside in the town of Hull, Wisconsin, whose death was chronicled last week, were held Wednesday, June 23, and burial was made in the Inglewood Park cemetery.

Mr. Cramer was born on Feb. 21, 1891, at Riverside, town of Hull, and received his education in Superior, Iron River and Washburn. He returned to the farm in 1907 and resided there until he retired and moved to California in November, 1950. He served in World War I, was Co. C 47th Inf. and saw duty in Germany and France. He married Lydia Gralow of Wausau on January 1, 1920. He died on June 19th at the Veterans’ Hospital in Sawtelle, Calif. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post 865 of Abbotsford, Wis.

Surviving are his wife, Lydia (Gralow) Cramer; one daughter, Jean Marie; one son, John S.; four brothers, Vernon Cramer of Lomita, Calif., Walter Cramer of Venice, Calif., Earl Cramer of Cleveland, Ohio, and Neil Cramer, also of Cleveland, Ohio; one sister, Mrs, Nelson (Rena) Ouimette of Lompoc, Calif.

Mr. Cramer will be remembered by many people of this community as a man who always endeavored to perform his duties honestly and well, and being of a pleasant and sympathetic disposition, had many friends here.
