Hafemann, Hugo C. (30 Jan. 1872 - 1954)
Funeral services for Hugo C. Hafemann, whose death was reported last week, were held Saturday afternoon in Zion Lutheran church in Colby, Wis., Rev. William Grafe of Green Grove officiating, and internment was made in the Hillside cemetery at Marshfield. Pall bearers were Edwin Frome, Sr., Angus Lamont, Sr., Oscar Dix, Walter Loos, Walter Wiersig and John Marx.
Mr. Hafemann was born in Morrison, Brown county, on January 30, 1872, thus reaching the age of 82 years. He was married to Martha Panzer at Hewitt Aug. 31, 1904. After their marriage, the couple operated a farm in this vicinity for many years but retired eight years ago and moved to Colby, Wis.
Surviving are his wife; two sons, Lyle and Calvin Hafemann, at home; four daughters, Mrs. Elmer Hall and Mrs. Harold Couve of Milwaukee and Mrs. Gladys Rogney and Mrs. Raymond Haefs of Green Bay, a brother, Herman Hafemann of Chicago; a sister, Mrs. Rose Behringer of Lena; six grand children and two great grand children. An infant daughter and two sons, Willis and Harold, preceded him in death.
Out of town people here for the funeral were from Chicago, Ill, Dubuque, Iowa, Milwaukee, Green Bay, De Pere, Greenleaf, Oconto, Lena, Oakfield, Marshfield, Auburndale, Hewitt, Eau Claire, Abbotsford, Laona and Tomahawk.
