MRS. MATT HANSON PASSED AWAY MONDAY
Mrs. Matt Hanson was born in Norway, Jan. 13 1857. In May, 1883 she was married to Matt Hanson and shortly after they came to America settling first in Monroe County. In the fall of 1883 they moved to their farm near Curtiss, where she has lived ever since.
She passed from this life Monday, Dec. 26, 1927 at the age of 70 years, 11 months and 13 days.
She leave to mourn her loss her husband Matt Hanson, two daughters, Mrs. Helga Kluve and Emma Hanson and one son Ole Hanson. Four children preceded her in death, two in infancy, Julius in 1913 and Clara in 1917.
Funeral Services were held Thursday afternoon from the home and from the Norwegian Lutheran Church, Rev. Skagen officiating. Burial was made in the Norwegian cemetery.
The entire community extend sympathy to the bereaved family.

Note: The spelling of the surname Hansen is scattered through the above obituary and card of thanks. Hanson was used on the stone marker at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, Twp. Hoard, Clark County.
