A daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Donald Frane at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital October 31.
Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Rabehl of Milwaukee and Mary Beyerl of Chicago spent the week-end at the Louis Beyerl home.
A. J. Kriplean made a trip to Milwaukee Tuesday and returned with a new Buick which will be on display here Friday.
Robert O. Goessling and Mrs. William Schendel and son, William, of Milwaukee spent the week-end with Mrs. Anthony L. Schemmer.
Mr. and Mrs. La Monte Dulmes of Adell and Mr. and Mrs. Louis Schaller and Kenneth of Chippewa Falls visited over the week-end at the Hugo Brehm home.
Mrs. Lily Allmann left for Fond du Lac Tuesday to spend the balance of the week with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Morgan, and children.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred J. Kobs left for Mt. Horeb Wednesday to spend the balance of the week with their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Delos Kobs, and children.
Henry Aderhold of the town of Hull, O. W. Sturner of the city of Colby and George Cook of Unity, Wisconsin were in Wausau Friday where they attended a meeting of the finance committee of the Marathon county board of supervisors.
Mrs. Emil J. Martens returned home Monday evening after spending the past week at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. George Roth of Unity, and to get acquainted with her new grand daughter, Vergean Mary.
Mr. and Mrs. Gust Brehm returned on Monday after spending several days at Griffith, Ind., with their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Allen Brehm, and family. They also stopped enroute to visit with Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Luster at Madison.
Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Sossaman and children on Milwaukee and John Lindberg of Abbotsford visited Tuesday evening with the former’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Sossaman. Mr. and Mrs. Sossaman were called here by the death of the latter’s grand mother.
Five members of the V.F.W. Auxiliary of Post 2227 entertained patients at the Veterans’ Hospital at Tomah last week Tuesday afternoon. Games were played in a ward of about 60 patients, prizes awarded and cup cakes and ice cream served. In another ward, dancing was held for about 15 patients. Members who attended were Mrs. David Stieber, Mrs. Ralph Jannene, Mrs. Elizabeth Hederer, Mrs. Agnes Schorer, and Mrs. Harold Glenzer.
Mrs. Theo. Lueloff and daughters, Gertrude and Veda, the latter of Madison, Mrs. Ted Salter of Marshfield, and Mr. and Mrs. Orland Lueloff and family of Sharon spent the week-end with Reuben Lueloff and family at River Hills, a suburb of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. On Saturday evening, they all drove to the Mitchell Airport at Milwaukee to see Betty Salter leave on a plane at 9:15 for San Francisco, Calif., to work in the Children’s Hospital in the Occupational Therapy Ward.
