Gosse, August (20 Jan. 1889 - 7 Sept. 1955)

Funeral services were held on Saturday at a Milwaukee, Wisconsin funeral home for August Gosse, age 66, a former resident of the town of Green Grove, who died of a heart attack at his home in Milwaukee September 7. Burial was made in a Milwaukee cemetery.

Mr. Gosse was born in Brillion on January 20, 1889, and was married in October, 1915, to Miss Emma Elbert who preceded him in death. His second marriage to Miss Lillie Prestin took place in August, 1922. He farmed in the town of Green Grove and lived in Abbotsford for some time and then moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Surviving are his wife, now a patient in a Milwaukee hospital; a son, Norman, and a daughter, Mrs. Gilbert Grambort, both of Abbotsford; three brothers, Fred Gosse of Abbotsford, Carl Gosse of Milwaukee and Henry Gosse of Colby; two sisters, Mrs. George (Hulda) Kelsey of Abbotsford and Mrs. Melvin (Tena) Ostenson of Curtiss.

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Gosse and Mr. and Mrs. August Kobs of Colby attended the funeral. Abbotsford residents attending were Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Grambort, Norman Gosse, Mr. and Mrs. Arvin Gosse, Mr. and Mrs. George Kelsey, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Gosse, Raymond Orth, Leo Underwood and Miss Frieda Weideman.
