Williamson, William (1884 - 24 Nov. 1955)

William Williamson, a pioneer of the town of Brighton, Marathon Co., Wisconsin, died early Friday morning at the age of 71 years at Bethel Convalescent Home at Arpin where he had been living the past five months. He has been ill for six years. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Trinity Lutheran church at Unity, Rev. Claude Vander Stoep officiating, and internment was made in the parish cemetery.

Mr. Williamson was born on the family homestead in 1884. He attended the Romeo School and later purchased the home place from his father which he farmed for many years. He married Frances Gregerson in Unity.

Surviving are his wife; two children, Mrs. Audrey Meisner and Mrs. Bernard (Flora) Eckes, both of Chicago; two step children, by his wife’s first marriage, Mrs. Kelly (Louise) Beatche and Evert Gregerson; one sister, Mrs. Herman (Anna) Schwantes of Colby and six grand children. One son, Orin Williamson, and 10 brothers and sisters preceded him in death.
