Gosse, Anna (25 June 1867 - 20 Jan. 1949)

Mrs. Anna Gosse passed away at Owen last Thursday, Jan. 20, complications of several years duration being the cause of her death. Funeral services were held at Peace Ev. and Reformed church at Curtiss on Monday afternoon, Jan. 24, Rev. F. P. Puhlmann officiating, and internment was made in the Pine Hill cemetery.

The deceased, a daughter of Carl Kobs and Albertina Krause, was born in Germany June 25, 1867, thus reaching the age of 81 years, six months and 25 days. She came to the United States with her parents when three years of age and to this community in 1902. She was married to Henry Gosse at Potters in 1888. Ten children were born to this union.

Surviving children are August Gosse of Milwaukee, Fred Gosse of Abbotsford, Tena Ostenson of Curtiss, Hulda Kelsey of Abbotsford, Henry and Carl Gosse of Colby, Wis. Also surviving are one brother, August Kobs of Colby, and one sister, Hulda Riemer of Hilbert.

The deceased will be remembered by many of Colby as a good Christian of an industrious and congenial disposition who always endeavored to perform her duties to the best of her ablility.
