Baumgartner, Mae E. (Marriage - 23 Sept. 1950)

Miss Mae E. Baumgartner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Baumgartner, and Rueben H. Frome, son of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Frome, exchanged marriage vows Saturday, Sept. 23, at Grace Lutheran church at Nasonville, Rev. E. Milliville reading the marriage ceremony. Miss Joyce Baumgartner, sister of the bride, was maid of honor and Janet Frome, sister of the groom, was bridesmaid. The groom was attended by Robert Gierl and Donald Baumgartner, cousin of the bride.

The bride was attired in a gown of gleaming bridal satin, nylon net yoke offset with matching ruffle of alenson type lace, embroidered with tiny seed pearls, fitted bodice, tight sleeves and light lace panniers trimmed the sides of the dress and extended around the bottom of the skirt. Her finger-tip veil of sheer illusion was net-bordered with lace matching the dress and train. Seed pearls and bugle beads completed her attire. Her bouquet consisted of a cascade arrangement of white and yellow roses and white gladioli.

Her attendants wore identical dresses of satin orchid, full skirt, separating matching gauntlets, large picture hats of satin with ruffled lace trimmed with a dainty wreath of forget-me-nots.

A reception was held in the church basement which was decorated with orchid, green and white streamers.

Out of town guests were from Iowa, California, Menasha, Marshfield, and Greenwood.

The couple left on a wedding trip to Southern Wisconsin, Illinois and Iowa and will be at home after September 30th at 605 So. Vine St., Marshfield, where the groom is employed as shipping clerk by Berg Equipment.
