Fricke, Minnie #2 (14 APR 1881 - 11 MAY 1943)

Mrs. Adolph Fricke, 62, died Tuesday morning at 9 o’clock at the home of her daughter in the Town of Rietbrock, Marathon Co. She had been ill for several years with stomach ulcers.

The body will lie in state at the Lulloff Funeral Home in Colby until funeral services Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock, the Rev. David Grether, pastor of the Evangelical and Reformed Church, officiating. Burial will follow in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery.

Miss Minnie Tesmer was born April 14, 1881, at Forestville, Door Co., Wis., and was married to Adolph Fricke in June 1899, at Colby, Wis. They lived on a farm near Cherokee until about 1920, when they moved to the city of Colby where they owned and operated the City Bakery. About 1928 they moved to a farm near Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.), where Mr. Fricke died a few years later.

Ms. Fricke had made her home on the farm in Green Grove (Clark Co.) until a few years ago, when she went to live with her daughter, Mrs. Ivan Larson, now living near Edgar.

Surviving her are three sons, Harold of Cooperstown, Paul of Curtiss, and Elmer, address unknown; one daughter, Mrs. Ivan Larson, four sisters, Mrs. Gusta Olson, Abbotsford; Mrs. John Pribnow Sr. and Mrs. Conrad Orth, Colby; and Bertha Dahlke, Portland, Ore., two brothers, Paul Tesmer, Colby, Herman Tesmer, Neillsville; and seven grandchildren.
