Delong, Ora (? - 12 JUN 1943)

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon for Ora DeLong, who died Saturday afternoon at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, where he had been taken several hours previously. He suffered fatal injuries that morning in a fall from the roof of the back porch of his home which he was shingling.

The Rev. S.A. Gutknecht, pastor of Immanuel Evangelical Church, Chili, officiated at the one o’clock service at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, where the body had been lying in state, and interment was made in Withee Cemetery beside his wife, who preceded him in death.

Mr. DeLong moved to Granton (Clark Co., Wis.) about nine years ago from Withee (Clark Co.), where he owned and operated a farm for many years.

Surviving are three sons, Everett of Kalamazoo, Mich., Earl of West Bend, Ind., and Clarence of Battle Creek, Mich.; a daughter, Mrs. Carl (Ruth) Schoby, Kalamazoo, Mich., and a brother, Clyde DeLong, Townsend.
