Miss Betty Dike came home from Madison for a couple days visit at the home of her parents, Dr. and Mrs. B.H. Dike, on Tuesday. Thursday Mrs. Dike and Betty returned to Madison, where on Saturday Miss Dike’s marriage will take place to Pvt. Arne Cilick, a meteorologist student at the university. Dr. Dike and daughter, Bernice, will leave Saturday morning for Madison to attend the wedding.

At 4:00 o’clock Saturday, Sept. 11, 1943, at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Howard Murray Jones of Madison, Miss Elizabeth Anne Dike, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. B.H. Dike of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), became the bride of Cadet Arnold J. Celick, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. Celick of Eau Claire. Dr. Jones officiated.

The bride chose a smart two piece, light weight, wool aqua dress and a black pompadour hat for her nuptial, and wore a shoulder corsage of gardenias and sweetheart rosebuds.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Howard Murray Jones. At 7:00 o’clock the wedding dinner was served at the Belmont Hotel for immediate relatives and friends.

Those present at the wedding were, Dr. and Mrs. B.H. Dike and daughter, Bernice, Misses Jean Cattanach and Pat Tiedeman, Mr. and Mrs. I.C. Roberts of Owen, Miss Bernice Johnston of Beloit, and Cadet Robert Wald and Frederick Bedford, now stationed at the University of Wisconsin.
