Murray, Emily H. (11 DEC 1943)
St. Katherine’s Church was the scene of a pretty wedding Saturday afternoon, when Miss Emily H. Murray, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Murray of this city (Owen, Clark Co., Wis.), and Cpl. Howard E. Guthrie were united in marriage, at a 4 o’clock service, the Rev. Ronald E. Ortmayer officiating.
The bride for the past three years has been employed in Milwaukee, and before going there had been employed in this city, where she had graduated from high school.
The groom is a resident of Mount Pleasant, Mich., and is attached to the Medical Department of the Army Air Corp, at Mitchell Field, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
The young couple were attended by Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Mathewson of Owen. The bride chose for her wedding attire, a blue chiffon velvet dress and wore a white chrysanthemum corsage. The groom wore the army uniform.
The happy couple left the following day for Milwaukee, where they will make their future home. Good wishes are extended to them by their many friends in this vicinity.
