Ludwig, Merlin (6 July 1931 - 24 June 2007) Merlin Ludwig

MEDFORD -- Merlin Ludwig, 75, Medford, died Sunday, June 24, 2007, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 28, 2007, at St. Louis Catholic Church, Dorchester, Wis. Inurnment will be in Dorchester Memorial Cemetery. Military rites will be provided by the Stetsonville American Legion Post 519.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the church.

Maurina/Community Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Merlin was born July 6, 1931, in the town of Little Black, Taylor County, to Fred and Margaret (Hurth) Ludwig. Merlin and Roberta "Tuts" Hollman were married Oct. 22, 1954, in Dorchester, Wis. He worked for Ackeret Brothers in Medford and retired from Weather Shield Manufacturing in 1994. He served his country in the National Guard with 32 years of service.

Merlin is survived by his wife, Roberta "Tuts" of Medford; his children, Jean (John) White of Springfield, Mo., Cindy Glamann of Medford, Nancy (Ricky) Sperl of Medford, Patty Raasch of Louisville, Ky., Jeff (Barb) Ludwig of Medford and Jim (Tina) Ludwig of Medford; 16 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and his brothers and sisters, Jerry (Helen) Ludwig, Norma (Al) Meier, Joanne (Earl) Emmerich, Loretta (Pat) Kranz, Germaine Seidel, Dale (Kay) Ludwig, Duke (Connie) Ludwig, Bob (Nancy) Ludwig, Glen (Mary Jane) Ludwig, Marlene (Daryl) Hermans and Sandy (Dave) Bruesewitz.
