Unity, Wis. - Nov. 15, 1951
Otto Seefeldt, who for the past year or more has been taken care of in a convalescent home in Greenwood, is now at his home in Unity. Mr. Seefeldt is able to get about the house a bit with the aid of crutches.
Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Wiedenhoeft and son, William, of Cable visited several days at the Gilbert Wiedenhoeft home.
Mrs. Morris Anderson of Colby substituted teaching in the primary room several days due to the illness of Mrs. Estelle Wiedenhoeft of Colby, Wis.
Anton Korntved, Highway 13 patrolman, injured his leg in a fall. Thomas Loughead is acting as patrolman during Korntved’s absence.
Mr. and Mrs. Martin Evenson left on an extended trip through the south and southwestern part of the country and expect to be gone about six months. Richard Kuehling is carrying the mail on the rural route during Evenson’s absence.
Mrs. J. A. Olson and daughter, Sharon, spent several days in Wisconsin Rapids with the former’s son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Steinke.
A two-way farm deal was closed last week when Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Pech, Jr., sold their farm to Mr. and Mrs. Fred Summers of Newell, Iowa, and purchased the home farm belonging to Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Pech, Sr. Mr. and Mrs. Pech, Sr., have lived on the farm about 25 years after moving here from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. They left last week Wednesday for Schenectady, N.Y., where they will move to Eau Claire where they will make their home.
Harry Hederer has purchased the school bus from Ernest Capes and began the bus route. The bus was previously driven by Ted Domer.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Mellenthin and family of Beaver Dam visited several days with the latter’s brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. George S. Cook.
