Sachs, Emma (16 JUL 1906 - 31 DEC 1942)

Mrs. Otto Sachs, 37, passed away at her home in the town of Longwood (Clark Co., Wis.), at 1:00 p.m. on Dec. 31, 1942, of cancer.

Emma Widmer was born in Milwaukee, Wis., on July 16, 1906. While still an infant she moved with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Widmer, to this part of the state, making their home in the township of Withee (Clark Co.) where she grew to womanhood.

On June 11, 1925, she was unite in marriage to Otto Sachs, which union was blessed with one child, Warren. The Sachs operated a farm in the Town of Longwood, where she resided until death.

She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband, Otto and son Warren; also her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Widmer; three brothers, John of Milwaukee; Alfred of Seattle, Wash.; and Fred of the Town of Withee; one sister, Mrs. Emelia Stigen of the Town of Withee, and a number of other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, Jan. 2nd, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in the Town of Reseburg, Rev. F.H. Sprengler officiating. Two vocal selections, "Sweet Home of Prayer: and "A Sleep in Jesus" were sang by Mrs. Donald Marshall and Miss Inez Rossman, accompanied by Gladys Bobb.

Interment followed in the Riverside Cemetery.
