Godden, Clara P. (10 DEC 1870 - 14 FEB 1943)

Mrs. J.F. Godden passed away at the home of her son, John E. Godden, in the town of Mead (Clark Co., Wis.), Feb. 14, 1943, death being caused by cancer. She had reached the age of 73 years.

Clara P. Pratt was born in Benton Co., Iowa on Dec. 10, 1870. She was married to John Godden on May 23, 1902 at Cedar Rapids, Iowa. They resided in Minneapolis for a number of years and several years ago came to the Town of Mead where they established a summer home. Mr. Godden passed away Jan. 6, 1942.

Mrs. Godden is survived by three sons, Robert of Minneapolis, Forrest of Manley, Iowa and John E. of Greenwood; one daughter, C. C.F. Jennings of Sweet Home, Oregon; two brothers, James Pratt of Waterloo, Iowa, and Tom Pratt of Milltown, Wis.

Funeral services were held for the deceased at Warness Bros. Mortuary, Minneapolis at two o’clock Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 17, Rev. Armstrong officiating, and interment was made in Lakewood Cemetery.
