Adelle Holstrom

Adelle Holstrom, 86, formerly of Spencer, died Friday, March 14, 2008, at Deerview Meadows assisted living center, Marshfield, under the care of Ministry Home Hospice.

Visitation will be held at the Spencer Maurina/Schilling Funeral Home from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2008.

Adelle Holstrom

Adelle Holstrom, 86, formerly of Spencer, died Friday, March 14, 2008, at Deerview Meadows, Marshfield, under Ministry Home Care Hospice supervision.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2008, at Spencer Maurina/Schilling Funeral Home. She will be buried beside her husband in Elmwood Cemetery in Hammond, Ind.

Adelle was born May 25, 1921, in the town of Eau Pleine, to Henry and Augusta (Gotski) Potz . She attended the Wescott school in the town of Eau Pleine, and a beauty culture school in Chicago. She married Alex "Bud" Holstrom on June 11, 1960, and the couple settled in Livonia, Mich., where her husband worked for Ford Motor Company. Adelle spent most of her life as a homemaker. In the early 1980s, Adelle and Bud retired and they moved to Spencer. Her husband died shortly after retirement.

Survivors include one brother, Walter Potz, Spencer; two sisters, Betty Boehm, Hales Corners, and Ella Baumgart, Dwight, Ill. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Alex "Bud" Holstrom and three sisters, Anna, Louise, and Agnes.
