Sorenson, Karoline #2 (22 DEC 1855 - 2 NOV 1941)

Mrs. Nels K. Sorenson, aged 85, passed away at her home in the town of Longwood Sunday, Nov. 2, after a lingering illness. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Nov. 4, at 1:30 p. m. in the Longwood Lutheran church with the Rev. A. E. Norson officiating. Burial was in the family lot in Longwood.

Karoline Ingvaldsen was born on December 22, 1855, in Haave, Norway. She was married November 10, 1878 to Nels K. Sorenson, coming to this country June 5, 1884. The family lived in Withee 14 years, moving to a farm in the town of Longwood where they lived 24 years. Since that time they have lived in the village of Longwood.

Eleven children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Sorenson. Surviving are her husband and three children, Mrs. Inga Kuester, who has been caring for her mother, William G. Sorenson of Goodman, and Mrs. Maurice Furru of Minneapolis. Also eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Those attending the funeral from away were Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Furru and Myrlene Sorenson of Minneapolis; James Clark of St. Paul; William Sorenson of Goodman; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Sorenson of Tomahawk; G. H. Kelly and family of Eau Claire; Mr. and Mrs. O. A. Anderson of Stevens Point; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Jornby of Hillsdale; Ed Nelson, Mrs. Chris Nelson, Mrs. Inga Firnstahl, Mrs. Sidney Lee, Mrs. Leo Budahn, and Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Graham of Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Binning of Unity; Mrs. Arthur Long, Mrs. Long Sr., Mr. Thorpe, and Mrs. Anderson of Stanley.
