Mason, Carol Aldrich (? - 23 March 2013)

Carol Aldrich Mason passed way on March 23, 2013, in San Antonio, Texas. She was born in Three Lakes, Wisconsin to Herrick and Mary Aldrich, attended Three Lakes Grade School and high school, and graduated from Whitewater State Teachers’ College with a Bachelor of Science degree. On February 21, 1942, she married Harvey Mason in Madison. Together they lived in Wausau, Thorp and Eau Claire until Harvey’s death in 1990. After moving to Princeton, MN to be with her son, Chris, she relocated to San Antonio to be close to her daughter, Cindy.

Carol is lovingly remembered for not only being a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, but for her sense of humor, her gracious style of life, her love of animals, and her enjoyment of a great game of bridge. She was a fabulous cook and love to walk every morning.

Carol is survived by her three sons and their spouses; Peter and Becky Mason; and her daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Jerry Cambron. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren: Stuart, Tim, Like, Carolyn, Reid, Rachael, Kristin, Dru, Jon, Andrew and Mari; and seven great-grandchildren: Maggie, Molly Jack, Mason, Sebastian, Owen and Jackson.

Visitation will be at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1314 E. Lexington Blvd., Eau Claire, WI, on Thursday, March 28, 2013, at 12:00 p.m., with a funeral service at 1:30 p.m. Burial will immediately follow at Lakeview Cemetery.

Smith Funeral Chapel is assisting the family.
