Marquardt, Mrs. Herman (1866? - 25 SEP 1941)

Mrs. Herman Marquardt, 75, died of a stroke at her home at Dorchester, Thursday morning, Sept. 25th at 3 o’clock, following an illness of several months.

Funeral services were held Sunday evening at 9 o’clock from St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Dorchester, and at 2 o’clock from the Lutheran Church at Weyauwega.

The Rev. J. Brandt, Dorchester, officiated at both services and burial was made in the family lot at Weyauwega Cemetery. Until the time of the services the body lay in state at the Kraut Funeral Home.

Mrs. Marquardt was affiliated with St. Peter’s Lutheran Church and she and her husband helped found and build the present church. She was a charter member of the Ladies’ Aid Society and a faithful worker all the years that her health permitted.

She had many loving friends which was shown by the many beautiful floral offerings and kind deeds at the time of her passing and which were greatly appreciated by the members of her family left to mourn her.

Those surviving her are her husband, Herman, a son, Alfred of Tekamah, Nebr., and a daughter, Mrs. Herman (Emma) Konschak, Loyal. A sister, Cora Haire of Weyauwega, four grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive. Four children and two brothers preceded her in death.
