Debevec, Frances M. (6 JAN 1914 - 27 FEB 2008)

Frances M. Debevec, 94, North Branch, Minn., formerly of Willard and Greenwood, died on Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2008, at the Village of North Branch, North Branch, Minn. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., on Monday, March 3, 2008, at Holy Family Catholic Church, Willard. The Rev. Joseph Follmar officiated. Burial followed in the parish cemetery.

Frances Mary Baskovec was born on Jan. 6, 1914, in Chicago, the daughter of Joseph Sr. and Frances (nee Zell) Baskovec. She was raised in Chicago and moved to Willard in 1930. On June 25, 1938, she married Anton Debevec at Holy Family Church, Willard. The couple farmed in the Willard area until 1957, and in 1962, they moved to Greenwood. Her husband passed away on May 14, 1996, and she moved to Minnesota in November 1997, to be close to her children. She loved crossword puzzles, murder mysteries on TV, gardening and flowers. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Willard, and the KSKJ Lodge.

She will be sadly missed by her children, Carol (Ron) Clift, Circle Pines, Minn., Charles Debevec, Rush City, Minn., and Anthony Debevec, Rush City, Minn.; and two grandchildren, Timothy (Nancy) Clift, Lino Lakes, Minn., and Lisa Clift, Coon Rapids, Minn.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Anton; one sister, Jennie Pekol; and one brother, Joseph Baskovec Jr.

Cuddie Funeral Home, Greenwood, assisted the family with arrangements.
