Mazzello, Anna Doria (Marriage - 16 May 1953)

Announcements have been received here of the marriage last Saturday morning in St. Aloysius’ Church, New Canaan, Conn., of Miss Anna Doria Mazzello, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Mazzello, New Canaan, and Robert Sewell Cook, Unity. The Rev. Edmund Hussey was the officiant.

A white ballerina length gown of Chantilly and nylon lace was worn by the bride; her veil extended from a seed pearl crown.

The bride’s only attendant was her sister, Rosalie Mazzello as maid of honor. A nile green ballerina length frock of nylon net was selected by her and she carried a nosegay of yellow roses and baby breath. Ray Allen Cook, brother of the groom, was best man.

A luncheon and reception were held at the home of the bride’s parents. The bride is a graduate of New Canaan High School. The groom, a graduate of the Unity High School, and Wisconsin State College at Stevens Point, is attending a US Marine Corps school in Quantico, Va.

When the couple return from a wedding trip to Cape Cod, Mass., they will reside in the Wardia Apts., Woodbridge, Va.

The groom’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. A. Cook, and son, Ray, Unity, and Darla Capes, Marshfield, were among the guests. Also in attendance were Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Parsons, Boston, Mass., former Unity residents.

*** Note: The Mazzello surname appeared as Mazello, Mazzelo, Mazzello and Mezzelo within this article.
