Marcia Gorsegner, 61 wife of Leonard Gorsegner of Stillman Valley, Il and daughter-in-law of Mrs. G.A. Gorsegner, Thorp, passed away Friday, March 6, 1998, at a Rockford, Il hospital of cancer.
Services were held Monday, March 9, 1998, at Kishwaukee Community Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her husband, Leonard, two sons: Jerry (Lynn) Gorsegner of Oregon; IL. And David (Kim) Gorsegner of Loves Park. Il. One daughter, Karen Lowrey of Freeport, IL: 10 grandchildren and one sister of Colorado.

STILLMAN VALLEY - Marcia A. Gorsegner, 61, Stillman Valley, died Friday, March 6, 1998 in OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center after a long illness. Born Aug. 28, 1936 in Mankato, Minn., the daughter of Lester and Emma (Oltman) Kilmer, Married Leonard Gorsegner July 27, 1957 in Minneapolis, Minn. Graduate of West High School, Minneapolis, Minn.,Class of 1954. Lived in the Stillman Valley area for 28 years, where she was employed as the playground supervisor for Highland Elementary School for 26 years. Loved ceramics.
Survivors include her husband, Leonard, sons Jerome (Lynn) Gorsegner, Oregon, David (Kim) Gorsegner, Loves Park; daughter, Karen Lowery, Freeport; 10 grandchildren, Jennifer, Tyler, Nicole, Heather, Scott, Ryan and Casandra Gorsegner, Christopher, Deanna and Erika Lowery; sister, Dolores Brandon, Arvada, Colo; and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents.
Services were held March 9 in Kishwaukee Community Presbyterian Church, Stillman Valley, with the Rev. Trevor H.G. Smith, pastor, officiating. Burial in Stillman Valley Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established for Highland Grade School.
