Johnson, William (19 Oct. 1884 - 23 Dec. 1954)

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Swarthout Funeral Home for William Johnson, 71, Town of Brighton farmer, who died at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 23, after suffering a heart attack. The Rev. Harvey Schall, pastor of the local Methodist Church, conducted the rites and burial was made in the town of Brighton cemetery.

Pallbearers were Anton Ringquist, Earl Ringquist, Herman Neuman, Ed Melander, John Frank and Rueben Frank.

Mr. Johnson was born in Sweden October 19, 1884, and came to this country at the age of 20 with his parents. He had resided on a farm northeast of Spencer for the past 51 years.

Survivors are his wife, the former Elizabeth Anderson, to whom he was married May 9, 1913; two sons, William at home and Walter, of Washington, and two sisters living in Sweden.
