Funeral services were held on Friday, September 13 for Sgt. James H. Peep, who passed away Monday, September 9 at the Veterans Hospital in (Hennepin Co.)Minneapolis, Minnesota. Burial was made in the Unity Cemetery, Rev. Vander Stoep officiating.
Sgt. Peep was a member of the Disabled War Veterans and served in the Armed Forces from 1913 to 1946. He is survived by two sisters, a brother and a half brother.
James H. Peep, the son of William L. Peep (28 Jul 1858, Depere, Brown Co., Wis. - 12 Jan 1932, Marshfield, Wood Co., Wis.) and Roxanna Hyke, the daughter of Henry Powers Abel Huycke and Nancy Hires (Ware). Roxanna was born 10 Feb 1859 in Woodstock, New Brunswick, Canada and died 10 Oct 1929 in Unity, Langlade, Wisconsin.
