They went to the Grand Army Home October 25, 1944 from Unity, where they were residing with Mr. Creed’s mother, who was a Civil War widow.

She was a member of the Eastern Star, Marshfield; the Daughters of Union Veterans, King; The Spanish Veterans Auxiliary, King; Rebekah Lodge, Unity; and an honorary member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Unity.

Surviving beside her husband are a son, Jack Creed, Richmond, California and a daughter, Amy Creed Alcorn of Mason City, Iowa; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Alcorn arrived from Iowa on Tuesday and Jack Creed arrived on Wednesday from California for the funeral. Homer’s brother, Charles Creed of Green Bay also attended the final rites.
