Yes - This is the last issue of the Marathon County Register - We can no longer absorb the loss in trying to continue publishing a newspaper where the people of the community do not support it.
The Register has been published for 58 years - 17 by us and we sincerely regret having to make this move. We have made some very wonderful friends in Unity, Wisconsin over the years - and some enemies we suppose - however we want to thank you all for your consideration and kindness to us in the past - God bless you all!
Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Neuenfeldt
