Schefsick, Anna (1853 - 1930)

Ann Ozga was born July 18, 1853, at Salgo, Tayarine Province in Austria Hungary, and was united in marriage to John Schefsick in the year 1873. He preceded her in death on December 19, 1893.

Mr. and Mrs. Schefsick came to Dorchester May 15, 1881, and settled on the farm where they lived the remainder of their lives.

Mr. and Mrs. Schefsick were the parents of nine children, three dying in infancy. Those surviving are Herman and Elmer of Los Angeles, Calif., John of the town of Holton, Frank and Joe of Chippewa Falls, and Mrs. Peter Beyerl of Colby, Wis.

Mrs. Schefsick passed away at the home farm Thursday morning and funeral services were held from the St. Louis Catholic church in Dorchester Tuesday, Nov. 4th. John Schmitt, Nick Decker, John Kadonsky, Peter Kramer, Albert Stroota and Mr. Helsler acted as pall bearers.

Those from away attending the services were Mrs. Anton Stallman of Corinth; Mr. and Mrs. Art Gelhaus of Medford; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Schefsick, Sr., and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Schefsick, Jr. of Loyal; Frank Sefrank and Mrs. Henry Senrod of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. A. Gutwasser of Chippewa Falls; Mrs. E.H. Hahn of Eau Claire and a large number of friends from Abbotsford and Colby, Wis.
