Luepke, Herman (9 June 1882 - 2 Oct. 1906)

Herman Luepke was killed Thursday near Upson, Wisconsin by the accidental discharge of his gun while out hunting, the body arrived that night on the limited accompanied by the young man’s sister and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Schwecke (Schweke) and three of his friends. The funeral was held in the north church Saturday afternoon, Rev. Imm officiating. The deceased was twenty-four years old and is survived by his father and mother and several brothers and sisters.

Herman "Ham" Luepke was the son of Carl A. Luepke (b. 25 Apr 1847, Ger. - d. 19 Nov 1920, Spencer, Wis.) and Minnie (Sophia) Mellenthin (b. 25 Jan 1852, Ger. - d. 21 Jul 1925, Spencer, Wis.).

 

Herman was baptized 23 Jul  1882, Confirmed 29 Mar 1896 (St. John's Lutheran Church, North Spencer, Wis.)
