Luchterhand, Vera (19 NOV 1941)

A quiet wedding took place at the English Lutheran Church in Marshfield Wednesday morning, November 19, 1941, when Vera Luchterhand and Dennis Oestreich, both of Loyal exchanged marriage vows in the presence of relatives and intimate friends, Rev. Ripp performing the ceremony.

The attendants were Jean cook, a friend of the bride, and Luther Oestreich, a brother of the groom.

The bride was becomingly attired in a street length lace dress of copen blue crepe. A gold locket and bracelet set with rhinestones were her ornaments; a black velvet hat completed her costume. The bridesmaid wore a tan crepe dress. The groom and his brother were dressed in blue suits.

A wedding dinner was served at the home of the bride’s parents Thanksgiving Day.

Mr. and Mrs. Oestreich left Thursday afternoon for Milwaukee and other southern Wisconsin places of interest.

The bride is the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Luchterhand. She is a graduate of the Loyal High School and also of the Rural Teachers course at the Stevens Point State Teachers College and has taught in Clark County for the past three years.

The groom is the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Oestreich, has grown to manhood in Loyal attending the Loyal schools and is at present employed at the Oestreich Service Station.

Both are worthy young people having a wide circle of friends who wish them the very best that life may hold. They will reside in Loyal.
