Mrs. August Schumann and Fred Laux of the town of Colby, received a dispatch, Saturday evening, announcing the death of their mother, Mrs. Katherine Laux, which occurred at the home of her son, Peter, in Kiel, on that day. Mr. and Mrs. Schumann and Mr. Laux left on the Monday morning train for Kiel to attend the funeral.
