I have been searching many years for the grave of my Father's sister. Helen Szatkowski died in December 1908. My Father had hoped to find Helen's grave before his death, well that was not to be. Dad died in 2007 at the age of 100, so I have continued the search. What I know is the family lived in Thorpe. There was a fire which resulted in Helen's death. I have been able to track down the funeral home, Joe Morris, the Horan Funeral Home in Chippewa Falls has his records. She died on December 2, 1908 They told me that Helen was buried on December 4, 1908 in a casket that measured 3 feet 9 inches. They believe she was buried in Withee because an entry had Mrs. Louis Schakowski Withee. The name as you cna see was misspelled as it was on Helen's death certificate. Last year I spoke to the Priest from St. Hedwig's Church, he mentioned that many young children were buried in a specail area for children in some cemeteries. Whould you be able to tell which cemeteries in the Withee area have a Special Children's Burial area? I live in New York and am planning a trip to the area during this Summer and would like to visit the cemetery. Thank You for your time and help. Marilyn Szatkowski
