Eugene Wehe

LOYAL -- Eugene Wehe, of Loyal, died April 23, 2008, at Memorial Medical Center in Neillsville.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Loyal.

Visitation is from 10 a.m. to service time Saturday at the church.

Cuddie Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Eugene J. Wehe Sr.

NEILLSVILLE -- Eugene J. Wehe Sr., 93, died on Wednesday, April 23, 2008, at Memorial Medical Center in Neillsville.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 26, 2008, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Loyal. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Cuddie Funeral Home of Loyal is assisting the family with arrangements.

Eugene was born on Jan. 1, 1915, in Clark County, the son of Boneface and Anna (Weber) Wehe. After his schooling, Eugene farmed in the Loyal area for many years. He also owned the Night Owl Tavern for many years. In 1940, Eugene and Alice Schmidtke were united in marriage in Bakerville. Alice preceded him in death in 1991. After retiring he moved to Marshfield for a short time and then returned to Loyal.

Eugene is survived by his children, Eugene Jr. (Carol) Wehe, Alaska, Bill Wehe, Long Beach, Calif., Jim Wehe, Anaheim, Calif., Mike (Carol) Wehe, Janesville, Duane Wehe, Waupaca, Kathy Niswonger and Margaret (Harry) Scheel, all of Marshfield; 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Jerome (Millie) Wehe, Loyal, and Bernard Wehe, Santa Barbara, Calif.
