Zukowski, Frank (27 Dec 1896 - 11 April 1970)

Frank Zukowski, 72, of Thorp, died unexpectedly April 11th at St, Joseph's Hospital, Chippewa Falls. He was born in Poland on December 27, 1896 and migrated to this country with his parents. He was graduated from the State Graded School. Mr. Zukowski spent 40 years in Chicago where he received his apprenticeship in the machine trade and became an authority in the automatic screw machine operations. At the time of his retirement, he was recognized in the Chicago area as an authority on the setting up and operations of the automatic machines and would be dispatched by his employer as a consultant to various machine industries. He was married to Pearl Soderberg on August 28, 1961 and moved to Thorp in 1965.

He is survived by his wife Pearl, son Calvin, Veterans Hospital, Danville, Illinois, daughter Dorothy Sutton, Bellwood, Illinois, and one step-son Raymond Soderberg, Thorp.
