Mrs. Date Clark visited friends at Romeo, Monday.

Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Falck were Colby visitors, Saturday evening.

Born to Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Messer, on Sunday, Aug. 17th, a son.

Born to Mr. and Mrs. Leon Dye, on Wednesday, Aug. 13th, a son.

Mrs. Geo. Jewett was the guest of relatives at Schofield, last week.

Franklin McMiler spent a few days this week with his uncle at Wausau.

Miss Lillian Evenson went to Marshfield, Saturday, and spent a few days.

Miss Ruby Sinz of Stetsonville, visited friends in our village this week.

Born to Mr. and Mrs. John Anderson of Romeo, Saturday, Aug. 16th, a son.

Ewald Glaman left Monday noon for Wausau, where he will be employed.

Mrs. John Powers who has been quite sick the past week, is slowly improving.

Vern Hause of Osborn, attended the Beaver play and dance here, last Friday evening.

Miss Ella Charlton was the guest of her parents at Colby, the latter part of last week.

Miss Belle Salter returned home, the latter part of last week, from her visit at Davenport, Iowa.

Miss Mae Reas of Spencer, was the guest of friends here from Friday evening until Saturday noon.

Martin Hellestad returned home, Monday afternoon, from a week’s visit with his mother at Scandinavia.

Mrs. J. R. Kuehnau was at Marshfield, the latter part of last week, having some dentist work done.

Jesse Clark of Wausau, spent last Friday in our village, the guest of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Date Clark.

The M. E. Ladies’ Aid will meet at the home of Mrs. Art Cutts next Thursday, Aug. 28th. Everyone invited.

Mrs. Sam Hause and children of Osborn, spent Saturday and Sunday in our village, with relatives and friends.

Misses Clara Brown, Edna Berg and Flora Clark attended Marathon county teachers institute at Wausau, this week.

Wes Vanderhoof and son, of the town of Sherman, were in our village last week Thursday, shaking hands with old friends.

Miss Anna Schultz arrived here Tuesday, from International Falls, Minn., for a few days visit with relatives and friends.

Miss Viola Coey attended the Clark county teachers’ examinations, held at Loyal, last week Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Mr. and Mrs. Peter Oleson, and Mrs. Ole Oleson and grand-daughter autoed to Westboro, Sunday, and spent the day with relatives.

Mrs. O. R. Meyer and daughters of Oshkosh, arrived here Tuesday on No. 112, to visit the former’s sister, Mrs. E. L. Messer, a few days.

Mr. and Mrs. O. C. Haman and daughter Ruby, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Falck, autoed to Milladore Sunday and spent the day.

Mrs. A. Kerringham and daughter Mele left Saturday afternoon on No. 111, for their home at Athens, after spending a few days here with friends.

The Beaver play and dance at Pettet’s opera house, last Friday evening, was well attended. They took in about $63, with the play and dance.

John Korntved returned home Saturday morning from Eau Claire, where he went to consult a doctor about his health and receive treatment.

Quite a few from here went to Colby Sunday to witness the ball game between Unity and Colby, which resulted in a score of 4 to 5 in Colby’s favor.

Dr. J. H. Clark had the misfortune to dislocate his wrist last Saturday, while cranking his auto. Doc will *** Note: The remainder of this article was missing.
