Wojt, Josephine E. (18 AUG 1945)

Miss Josephine Elaine Wojt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adam Wojt, became the bride of Joe Kozenka, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Kozenka, all of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), in a ceremony performed by Father F. Piekarski at a nuptial high mass at St. Hedwig’s Church on Saturday morning, Aug. 18th, 1945 at 9:00 o’clock.

The bride was beautifully attired in an all satin gown with sweetheart neckline and gathered skirt. She wore a lace edged veil with blusher and beaded crown. Her neck was adorned with the groom’s gift, a gold locket, and she carried a bouquet of carnations and gardenia entwined with baby breath.

Best man was Victor Wojt, the bride’s brother, and bridesmaid was Florence Norysiewicz, a cousin of the groom who wore a pink taffeta dress with head crown to match.

Other attending couples were Adam Michur and Susan Tomkowiak, the bride’s niece, and Melvin Bartosiewicz, the groom’s cousin, and Florence Tessmer. Miss Tomkowiak wore a dress of blue taffeta with crown to match and Miss Tessmer pink taffeta with matching head crown. Both wore the bride’s gift lockets and carried bouquets of carnations and gladiola in rainbow colors. The groom and his attendants wore tuxedos.

A reception was held after the ceremony at the P.N.A. Hall in Thorp, attended by many relatives and friends.

Both young people were raised in this community and will make their home on a farm in this section. Their many friends extend congratulations.

Out of town guests attending the festivities were: Mr. and Mrs. John Wojtkulewicz, Montreal, Wis.; Misses Edna and Wanda Wojt, Harold Powers, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Piwoni, John Jarocki, and Miss Rose Marek, of Chicago; Sgt. Adam Wojt of General Hospital, Clinton, Iowa.
