Schmidt, Evelyn (4 SEP 1945)

A very pretty wedding was solemnized by Rev. A.M. Muckerheide at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church at Thorp, on Tuesday morning at 9:00 o’clock when Evelyn, daughter of Mrs. John A. Schmidt, became the bride of Victor Grajkowski, son of Mr. and Mrs. John S. Grajkowski.

The bride was attired in a gown composed of a white satin waist, high neck with long sleeves and a marquisette skirt with a long train. She wore a fingertip veil and carried a bouquet of white roses and lilies. Her only jewelry was a gold cross, a gift of the groom.

Attending the couple were Evelyn Schmidt, niece of the bride, and Joseph Zdrajkowski, cousin of the groom. Mrs. Arthur Stewart, cousin of the bride, acted as matron of honor. She and the bridesmaid were dressed identical in all white gowns of taffeta and net skirts with matching headdress. Little Bonnie and Judy Stewart dressed in white lace, served as flower girls. They all carried a mixed bouquet of red and white roses, and wore gold crosses, gifts of the bride.

The groom and his attendant wore blue suits.

After the ceremony a reception for relatives and friends was given at the P.N.A. Hall.

The bride is employed with the Thorp Telephone Co. and the groom is engaged in farming. They will be at home to their many friends on their farm south of Thorp.
