Tessmer, Florence C. (7 NOV 1945)

Melvin Bartosiewicz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bartosiewicz, and Miss Florence C. Tessmer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Karl Tessmer of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), were joined in the holy bonds of matrimony at nuptial high mass sung by Rev. R. Rucki at St. Hedwig’s Church at ten o’clock Wednesday morning, Nov. 7th, 1945.

The couple was attended by Stanley Cukla and Florence Bartosiewicz, who was attired in white taffeta with net bottom.

The bride was beautifully dressed in a gown of brocaded satin with high neckline, princes style with buttons extending to the waistline. Her fingertip veil fell from a beaded crown. She wore a long train and carried a bridal bouquet of white chrysanthemums tied with white ribbon. Her only jewelry was a wrist watch, a gift of the groom.

Other attending couple were Herman Meyer Jr., and Dorothy Tessmer, Victory Wojt and Florence Norysiewicz, and George Zawadzki and Mildred Meyer. The ladies were attired in gowns of blue taffeta with net bottom and their bouquets were of pink carnations and white chrysanthemums. Each wore a string of pearl beads, gifts of the bride.

The groom and his attendants wore tuxedos.

After the ceremony a reception to the couple was held at the P.N.A. Hall in Thorp, attended by many relatives and friends.

The newlyweds are spending their honeymoon in Kansas City, Mo., and will be at home upon their return on the groom’s farm at Thorp.

Out of town guests at the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. Herman Meyer, Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. E.K. Clark and family, Medford; Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Gould, Harrisonville, Mo.; Earl Hanson, Neillsville; Mr. and Mrs. John Ericksmoen and family, Owen; Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Krueger and family, Athens.
