In a simple ceremony Saturday at 11 a.m. in the rectory of St. Raphael’s Church, Miss Ruth Marie Kulig, 2 Langdon St., daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Albert H. Kulig of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), was married to Frederick Outland Pond, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bailey Pond of Suffolk, Va. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. William Mahoney performed the candlelight service.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a pearl gray wool suit with black accessories and a corsage of white orchids. She was attended by her sister, Gertrude, who wore a light green wool suit with black accents and a corsage of gardenias.

Charles Bailey Pond served as his son’s best man.

After a wedding breakfast at the Hotel Loraine, Mr. and Mrs. Pond left for the East. They will be at home after Dec. 17 at 320 Western Av. In Suffolk.

The bride attended St. Scholastica College at Duluth, Minn. She has been employed in the bureau of maternal and child health of the state board of health. The bridegroom attended Riverside Military Academy, Gainesville, Ga., and a business college in Richmond, Va.
