Mr. and Mrs. Norman White received a letter from their son, Pfc. Norman White, Jr., last Friday stating he was in a hospital near Paris and was receiving good care and had plenty nice food. He is recovering from a wound received on March 3.

Wilbur Anderson was one of the boys who had to go to Milwaukee last Tuesday. He and Robert Opelt returned home last Wednesday evening. They have not heard whether they will pass or not.

Mr. and Mrs. Louie Lautenbach spent Thursday with his mother, who is recovering from pneumonia. Mrs. Helmuth Schultz was there too.

Mrs. Cole of Alma Center and Isadore Gallister of Milwaukee called on Mrs. Palmer last Tuesday afternoon.

Mrs. Art Opelt, Mrs. Mary Kahn, Mrs. Herb Filitz, Mrs. William Plummer and Mrs. George Beeckler spent last Wednesday in Eau Claire. Mrs. Filitz had X-ray pictures taken at Sacred Heart hospital.

Mr. and Mrs. Joe Secord of Green Bay had Sunday dinner at the French-Beeckler home. They were en route to Rochester, Minn.

Mr. and Mrs. Scott Raether of Eau Claire spent Saturday afternoon at the Harry Anderson home.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Opelt had dinner with his parents Thursday.

Mrs. Floyd Hagie visited relatives in Eau Claire and Altoona from Thursday until Sunday. She visited Mrs. Clyde Horton, who has been ill for over two months.

Rudolph and Arnold Opelt came home Saturday night and returned to Fort Sheridan Sunday afternoon.
