Page, LaVerne Ure (Marriage - 17 June 1944)

The wedding of Miss LaVerne Ure Page, Neillsville, daughter of Mrs. Vivian Page, Neillsville, and Milton Page, Baraboo, and Harry Wedekind, Neillsville, route 1, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Wedekind, Neillsville, route 1, was solemnized at the St. John’s Lutheran parsonage, Neillsville, on Saturday, June 17, at 2 p.m., the Rev. William A. Baumann reading the sing-ring ceremony.

The bride wore a white, brocaded silk, organdy dress, styled with a sweetheart neckline and a finger tip veil, bordered in lace and held in place by a pearl tiara. Her flowers were pink and white carnations. The bride was attended by Miss Lillian Wedekind, sister of the groom. Her gown was of pink net with lace insertions and a shoulder-length veil and matching headpiece. She also carried pink and white carnations. Irvin Wedekind, cousin of the groom, was his attendant.

A dinner for the immediate family was given at the groom’s home.

The bride is a graduate of the Neillsville High School, class of 1943, and has been employed at the Schultz Bros. store and later at the Harry Svirnoff Sons office. The groom is engaged in farming.

Out of town guests who were in attendance at the wedding were: Miss Ruby Wedekind, Milwaukee, sister of the groom, and Mrs. Melvin Ure, Nelsonsville, an aunt of the bride.
