Zimmer, Ruth (25 MAY 1946)

Miss Ruth Zimmer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Zimmer of Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), and Leland Albert, son of Mrs. Nellie Albert of Thorp, were united in marriage at the Methodist Parsonage on Saturday, May 25, 1946. Rev. James Irish performed the double ring ceremony.

The bride was attired in a white gown fashioned with long sleeves, a sweetheart neckline and had a full gored skirt with lace inserts. She wore a fingertip veil caught to a headdress of seed pearls and carried a shower bouquet of large, pink and white carnations. As her jewelry she wore a single strand of pearls, a gift of the groom.

She chose as her bridesmaid, a friends, Miss Virginia Peterson of Stanley, who was dressed in a gown of dusty rose taffeta and wore a band of white flowers in her hair. She carried an arm bouquet similar to that of the bride. Her jewelry consisted of a two-strand necklace with matching earrings, a gift of the bride.

The groom was attended by a brother of the bride, Jack Zimmer of Greenwood.

The bride is a graduate of the Greenwood High School and has been employed at Thorp for the past two years. The groom is a graduate of the Thorp High School and is employed as shipping clerk for Blue Moon Foods, Inc.

The young couple will make their home in Thorp, where their many friends wish them much success and happiness.
