Wolek, Bart (4 FEB 1885 - 12 JUN 1946)

Bart Wolek, farmer in the Town of Taft (Taylor Co., Wis.), passed away at the Stanley Hospital on June 12th, 1946 of ruptured appendix. He had reached the age of 61 years.

Mr. Wolek was born in Austria on Feb. 4, 1885. He was married there to Stella Bando on June 2, 1913. They came to America in August 1913 and located on a farm near Bellinger, where he resided until death.

Besides his widow he is survived by one son, Anton at home, two daughters, Mrs. Bernard (Victoria) Kinsella and Miss Rose Wolek of Chicago. One son lost his life in World War II.

Funeral services were conducted for the deceased by Rev. Jas. Irish at the Thorp Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 o’clock Saturday morning, June 15th, and interment took place in the East Thorp Cemetery. Pallbearers were Chester Penk, Gus Kazmierski, Victor and Ben Skaleski, Deon Dus and John Michawelski.
