Greenwood--Services for Milton Collier, 83, formerly of the Owen-Withee area, who died at 3:53 p.m. Tuesday at Oakbrook Manor Nursing Home, Thorp, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Rinka Funeral Home, Greenwood.
The Rev. Robert Tiling of St. Catherine's Episcopla Church, Owen, will officiate. Burial, with full military rites by the Greenwood American Legion, will be in Holy Family Cemetery, Willard. Friends and relatives will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
He was born Oct. 4, 1909, in Ingram, to the late John and Grace Collier. He attended Owen Schools. He married Anne Routar July 21, 1941, and she died Jan. 8, 1992
He worked on construction projects and thens erved in the U. S. Navy from September 1942 to October 1945 in the Aleutian Islands. He later worked on construction projects in Guam, Okinawa, Northern Africa, New York and Niagara Falls. He lived in Minnesota from 1961-69 and was a stationary engineer there. He became disabled in 1969 due to an accident.
Survivors include three daughter, Mrs. Marvin (Marie) Schutte of Elmwood and Donna and Darlene; one son, Douglas of California; one brother, Elton of Loyal; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was also predeceased by two sisters.
