Miss Adel V. Johnson of Longwood, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Johnson, became the bride of Dale W. Horn, son of Mrs. Caroline Horn, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), in a nuptial ceremony read July 14, 1945 at 2:30 p.m. in the Zion Reformed Church at Greenwood by the Rev. B.M. Fresenborg.

Mrs. Herbert Schwarze played the wedding marches and the accompaniment for Norman Erickson who sang "O Promise Me" and " I Love Your Truly."

For her wedding, the bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white satin formal frock designed with a snug bodice and long tight sleeves. The net overskirt extended into a long court train. Her full length veil of illusion was inserted with lace and caught to a tiara of beads. She carried white gladioli and roses.

Miss Jane banks, as maid of honor, wore a pink lace and net dress and matching headband and carried a bouquet of white roses and pink carnations. Miss Norma Brietlow, in a similar costume in blue, was bridesmaid. Clarence Meinhardt, U.S. Air Force and Erland Johnson attended the groom. Billy Lee Horn, a nephew of the groom, carried the wedding rings on a white satin pillow and Joyce Johnson, a niece of the groom, in a white floor length dress and carrying a basket of flowers, was flower girl.

Covers were laid for 50 guests at the Johnson home, decorated with red and blue streamers centered with a white wedding bell, where supper was served after the ceremony. A three-tier wedding cake centered the table. In the evening a dance was held at Jackson’s Merry Ol’ Gardens.

The bride was graduated from the Owen High School and has been employed in war work in Waukesha.

Carlson and Donald of Woodstock, Ill., Mrs. Peter Danielson, Rockford, Ill., Mrs. E. Johnson and family, DeKalb, Ill., Melvin and Wm. Gosse, Abbotsford, Wis.
