Swiniarski, Lorraine (25 Aug 1945)

Saturday morning at 10 o’clock the marriage of Miss Lorraine Swiniarski, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Swiniarski of Hixon Township (Clark Co., Wis.), and Joseph Zawacki, also of the Town of Hixon, was solemnized at St. Hedwig’s Church, Thorp. The Rev. Father Franciszek Piekarski served the mass.

The bride’s gown was a white satin bodice with a full crepe skirt, with a fingertip veil. She wore a gold locket, a gift of the groom, and carried a white mixed bouquet.

The maid of honor, Genevieve Bonk, and first bridesmaid, Delores Bak, wore identical pink net formals, the second bridesmaid, Julia Zawacki wearing a white net formal identical to the Misses Bonk and Bak. They each wore gold crosses, gifts of the bride, and carried mixed bouquets.

The groom and his attendants wore the conventional black suits.

Following the wedding a breakfast was served at the Z.N.A. Hall in Thorp, and dance followed that evening.

Mr. and Mrs. Zawacki left Monday evening for Chicago, where they are spending their honeymoon.

The following from away were here to attend the wedding; Mrs. Josephine Zabianski and daughters, Mamie and Martha, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Zabianski and two daughters, Mrs. Wanda Mattuck and daughters, Henry ??, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Lipinski, Mr. and Mrs. John Lipinski, Mrs. Dora Lipinski, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Kurfirst and son Leonard, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Henzel and son Ronald and Larry, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Bak, Ralf Johnson, Ed Kowalski Jr., Mrs. Anna Bak, and Jeanette Zawacki, all of Chicago.
